A method for manufacturing a far infrared ray-emitting polyethylene film is provided to enhance growth and fruit production of plants, to maintain freshness of vegetables, flowers and fruits, and to prevent harmful insects. A method for manufacturing a far infrared ray-emitting polyethylene film comprises the steps of: blending 70-75 wt% of polyethylene powder, 25-30 wt% of ceramic micropowder, and 5-10 wt% of a surfactant based on the total weight of the polyethylene and ceramic in a mixer; and carrying out extrusion of the mixture in an extruder. The ceramic micropowder comprises 8 wt% of hornblende powder and nephrite jade powder.
