METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE ACTIVITY OF SODIUM IONS AND A DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD

The group of inventions relates to measuring engineering. The inventive method for determining the activity of sodium ions and the operation mode of a device for carrying out said method are based on feeding an alkalising reagent into a medium and in measuring voltage differences between indicator (6) and reference (7) electrodes, wherein the reference electrode is embodied in the form of a pH electrode. The inventive method consists in measuring the voltage difference between the indicator (6) and reference (7) electrodes with respect to an auxiliary electrode (8), in determining the voltage difference between the indicator (6) and reference (7) electrodes as the difference between the measured voltage differences and in additionally measuring the electroconductivity of a medium containing the alkalising reagent which is addend therein. Said invention makes it possible to increase the accuracy and stability of measurement of sodium low concentrations in low-conductive media and to reduce operating cost.
