<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing speed and accuracy of pattern matching. <P>SOLUTION: An MFP 100 comprises an image reading section for acquiring image data, a resolution conversion section 301 for creating a first reduced image data and a second reduced image data made of a plurality of pixels in which positions of the image data are different from the plurality of pixels included in the first reduced image data so that the first number of pixels is thinned out from the image data in the X-axis direction and the second number of pixels is thinned out from the image data in the Y-axis direction; a first binarizing section 303A and second binarizing section 303B which binarize the first and second reduced image data and respectively create first and second binary data; and a first certification section 305A, a second certification section 305B, and a determination section 307 for determining whether or not either of first binary image and second binary image includes a designated pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
