PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gunpowder composition for launching shooting-up fireworks which develops a propulsion gas in a combustion zone without causing detonation phenomena, secures launching work with distinctly improved safety, and enables inexpensive and delightful launching work by virtue of the reduction of a launching gunpowder amount. SOLUTION: This gunpowder composition for launching shooting-up fireworks comprises 20-100 pts.wt., in external multiplication, of polyoxymethylene powder as a combustion gas-developing component based on 100 pts.wt. of an exothermic component formulated with calcium peroxide and aluminum powder which is prepared through mixing 15-35 pts.wt. aluminum powder with 65-85 pts.wt. calcium peroxide.
