A yellow ink composition, containing as a colorant at least one type of compound expressed by the following Formula I, and at least one type of compound expressed by the following Formula II: (where X₁, X₂, Y₁, and Y₂ are each a hydrogen atom or a cyano group, Z₁ and Z₂ are each a substituent having an aromatic ring, R₁ and R₂ are each an alkyl group, and M is a metal atom) (where R is a methoxy group or methyl group, and A is 1,5-disulfonaphtho-3-yl or 1,5,7-trisulfonaphtho-2-yl).
