<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for sorting products made of low gasoline permeable polyethylene especially gasoline containers made of low gasoline permeable polyethylene and provide a method for manufacturing the products especially gasoline containers made of low gasoline permeable polyethylene. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for sorting products made of low gasoline permeable polyethylene, the products are essentially made of low gasoline permeable polyethylene, and the products each have a layer treated with fluorination in their surfaces. The method has the process of determining an absorbance-gasoline permeation amount calibration curve indicating the relation between absorbance and amounts of permeated gasoline through the use of a known group of amounts of permeated gasoline and a known group of infrared absorbance, the measuring process for measuring infrared absorbance of the surfaces of the products to be sorted by single reflection ATR, the process of estimating infrared absorption at 1,180 cm<SP>-1</SP>in the measuring process on the basis of the calibration curve, and estimating the estimate amount of permeated gasoline, and the process of sorting the products as products made of low gasoline permeable polyethylene in the case that the estimate amount of permeated gasoline is equal to a prescribed amount or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
