An automatic apparatus for filling containers (5) particularly with preferably globular or short oblong food products, of the type comprising a feeding vibrating hopper (1) arranged above a first conveyor for a first series of containers (5) for feeding the said products into the said containers, and a device collecting the products possibly falling outside the said first containers, characterized in that the said device comprises a second conveyor for a second series of containers, arranged at a lower level (B) of the filling apparatus with respect to the said first conveyor and a guiding through (10) arranged between the said first and second conveyors and conveying the said products to the said second containers.
