PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crossing groove type constant speed joint which can prevent the coming-off of balls from the outer race without using additional components while suppressing the increase of the thickness and the axial length of a boot. SOLUTION: The boot 16 comprises a large-diameter cylindrical portion 16a to be fastened and fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the opening end portion of an outer race 11, a small-diameter cylindrical portion 16b to be fastened and fixed to a shaft 15, a tapered portion 16c which is integrally connected to the small-diameter cylindrical portion 16b side of the large-diameter cylindrical portion 16a, and reduces its diameter toward the small-diameter cylindrical portion, and an elongatable bellow portion 16d integrally provided between the small-diameter side of the tapered portion 16c and the small-diameter cylindrical portion 16b. Further, when the central axis of the outer race 11 and the central axis of the shaft 15 make an angle larger than a required value, balls 13 engage circumferentially with the ball groove 11a of the outer race, and come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the tapered portion 16c of the boot 16.
