PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge which is easy to handle, easy to be attached to and detached from a device without increasing the width of the device and an inkjet printer. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge 1 is provided with a notch (a recessed part) 3 on the front surface thereof and a gripping part 5 between the angle part 4 and a protruding part 2 provided on the upper surface of the cartridge. Through pinching both ends (the protruding part 2 and the angle part 4) of the gripping part 5 with two fingers, a user can hold the cartridge tightly even dealing with a narrow-width thin-type cartridge, thereby ensuring easy attachment to and detachment from the printer main body.
