PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor capable of keeping the whole reaction liquid at a nearly uniform temperature and suitable for uniformly advancing a tosylation reaction when a diol derivative is tosylated to produce a sulfonic acid ester derivative. SOLUTION: The reactor is used when a diol compound which is dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent (A) is reacted with sulfonyl chlorides while stirring under a vacuum to produce the sulfonic acid ester derivative. In the reactor, a stirring apparatus equipped with stirring blades for uniforming the composition of the reaction liquid present in the inner peripheral part of the reactor and the composition of the reaction liquid present in the central part of the reactor is arranged. Thereby, a high-viscosity component can nearly uniformly be stirred by actions of the stirring blades. As a result, the temperature of the whole reaction liquid can be uniformed to produce norbornene de tosyle in a high yield. Since uniform stirring can further be carried out even when the capacity of the reaction vessel is increased, upscaling can easily be made. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
