PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long and massive building which is constructed such that simple expansion joints are arranged only in upper-layer slabs at least inclusive of a roof slab, out of slabs in a plurality of layers, to alleviate an influence of temperature change on the upper-layer slabs, and that floor planning in lower layers has high flexibility and double provision of columns and beams is dispensed with due to absence of the expansion joints in the lower-layer slabs, to thereby contribute to cost reduction. SOLUTION: In the building having a plurality of stories, which is so long and massive that an influence of building expansion/contraction due to the temperature change on a skeleton becomes a considerable problem, the expansion joints are arranged only in the upper-layer slabs at least inclusive of the roof slab 1, and an end of the beam located on each side of the expansion joint is made movable in a width direction of the expansion joint, and therefore the beam can follow the behavior of the slab due to the temperature change.
