PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material stacking device having improved user-friendliness for stacking sheet materials different in width without requiring troublesome work when restricting the sheet materials in the cross direction. SOLUTION: The sheet material stacking device comprises a stacking tray 2 on which the sheet materials are stacked, and a pair of restricting members 3, 4 for abutting the sheet materials at both sides in the cross direction to restrict the sheet materials in the cross direction. Herein, an auxiliary restricting member 6 is provided for restricting sheet materials narrower than the sheet materials to be restricted by the pair of restricting members 3, 4.
