<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide target detection method of radar which surely and simply can detect bearings of the target even if any grating lobe arises. <P>SOLUTION: In this method, target detector 13 acquires azimuth spectrum based on received signal to detect bearing and peak level of each spectral peak (S101→S102). The target detector 13 reads out directional level in directivity pattern associated with azimuth area of each spectral peak (S103) to omit any spectral peak of those bearings with drastically lower directional level (S104). The target detector 13 computes trajectory of the peak level for every non-omitted spectral peak, while reading out trajectory of the directional level in directivity pattern associated with azimuth area to compute correlations of these trajectories (S105→S106), and then outputs them as spectral peak bearing of the target with the highest correlation level (S107). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
