PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical analyzer capable of injecting surely a specimen and a reagent into a gap between substrates, and discharging easily bubbles in the gap between the substrates. SOLUTION: A plurality of substrates arranged mutually in parallel are arranged vertically or slantingly to the vertical direction. Oil is filled in the gap between the substrates, and a sample and the reagent are injected into the oil. When the oil is heavier than the sample, the reagent and a reaction product, liquid is moved by utilizing electrowetting and the gravity. In this case, a guide for probe insertion is arranged on the upper end of the gap between the substrates. When the oil is lighter than the sample, the reagent and the reaction product, the liquid is moved by utilizing electrowetting and buoyancy.
