<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To house a toner bottle in an image forming apparatus with good space efficiency including arrangement of a lock mechanism, an erroneous attachment preventing mechanism and a memory device, and to suppress the lowering of the space efficiency caused by housing two kinds of toner bottles having different capacity in the image forming apparatus even when the capacity of the toner bottle for black toner is larger than that of the toner bottle of another color. <P>SOLUTION: The toner bottle 2K in the image forming apparatus is equipped with: a lock part 26 detachably locking the toner bottle on a toner bottle attaching part; a memory part 27 storing the toner information of the toner bottle; and the erroneous attachment preventing mechanism 28 preventing the erroneous attachment of the toner bottle to the toner bottle attaching part. An overhanging part 24 overhanging to the side from the front end of a cylindrical bottle main body 21 for storing toner is provided on a front cover 23 covering the front end of the bottle main body 21, and the lock part, the memory part and the erroneous attachment preventing mechanism are arranged on the overhanging part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
