<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator capable of drastically reducing use quantity of a filter or eliminating the filter itself by exerting a high cooling function by interposing a partition plate having at least the cooling function inside a gas generating agent molded body used as a gas generating source, without damaging an airbag even in that case and with a low exhaust gas temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The first gas generating agent molded body 31 and the second gas generating agent molded body 32 are arranged in the circumference of an igniting means chamber 21 having a through hole 22. The first gas generating agent molded body 31 burns and generates gas at first when flame is discharged from the through hole 22 by working of an igniter 24 and burning of an inflammation 23 and the second gas generating agent molded body 32 is ignited and burned by the gas.
