Provided is a telephone on which a television broadcast can be continuously viewed even when a call is made from other telephone. When a call is made from other telephone while a television image is displayed on a main display unit, the television audio output unit (36) stops output of the television audio corresponding to the television image which is displayed on the main display unit by the television image display unit (35) and a character information display unit (38) causes the main display unit to display subtitles corresponding to the television image. Thus, a user of the telephone can continuously view the television broadcast according to the television image and the subtitles while talking with a partner telephone. |
