PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging apparatus that increases the accuracy of detecting the end of charging, for constant-current and constant-voltage charging. SOLUTION: In S1, Q21 is turn off, Q22 is turned on; in S2, voltages Vx, Vy are measured, respectively. In S3,ΔVxy (=Vx-Vy) is determined. In S4,ΔVxy andΔVp are compared to each other; and whenΔVxy is larger thanΔVp, Q21 and Q22 are turned on in S5, and a secondary battery is charged. WhenΔVxy is determined as being equal to or smaller thanΔVp, error corrections are made. In S8, Q21 is turned on, Q22 is turned off, and in S10, an error Vxy' is calculated from Vx' and Vy' measured with Vo that is applied to detection circuits 31 and 32; and in S13,ΔVxyq with a corrected error is calculated.
