A liquid crystal display apparatus is provided to improve its display performance by making RC delay of each data line uniform. A liquid crystal display apparatus includes an insulating substrate(110), a plurality of gate lines, at least one dummy pad(125), a plurality of data lines and a data driver. The insulating substrate has a display area for displaying images and a surrounding area of the display area. The gate lines are formed on a portion of the display area and the surrounding area. At least one dummy pad is insulated from the gate lines and is formed in the surrounding area. The data lines define a plurality of pixel areas. At least a portion of the data lines is overlapped with the dummy pad to have different overlapped areas. A data driver is in the surrounding area opposite to the dummy pad wherein the display area is between the data driver and the dummy pad. The data driver is connected to the data lines.
