IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM, DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND DISPLAY METHOD

A user designates a position on a map image, so that the user can see an image picked up at the position. An image picking-up device (an image pickin g-up and display device (1) or an image picking-up device (30)) set in a mov ing device transmits image picking-up data together with added data includin g position information at the image picking-up point to a server device so t hat the server device can store them. A user of a display device (the image picking-up and display device (1) or a display device (40)) designates a pos ition on a map image. The display device transmits position designation info rmation to a server device so that the server device retrieves image data in accordance with the position designation information and transmits the imag e data corresponding to the position designation information to the display device.The display device displays the received image data.
