PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a steering column from moving toward a driver when a frontal collision of a vehicle for improving the safety of the driver, while reducing the labor of attaching work to a chassis. SOLUTION: A lower bracket 4 holding the steering column 2 has a column holding section 14 holding the steering column, and a fixing section 16 formed integrally with the column holding section extending in the vehicle width direction and fixed to a chassis-side supporting member 12. The fixing section has a pair of slotted through-holes 18, 20 elongated in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle at positions spaced apart from each other in the vehicle width direction, and is fixed to the vehicle-side supporting member using fastening members 24.
