PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting structure of an instrument panel to reduce input to an occupant's knee part, etc. in collision while securing the rigidity of the instrument panel. SOLUTION: This supporting structure of the instrument panel is furnished with the instrument panel 1 arranged on a front part of a cabin of an automobile and a supporting member 4 mounted on a car body frame of the automobile and to support the instrument panel 1 on a side surface part 2a of this instrument panel 1 and is furnished with a fragile part 5 along an outer edge of the supporting member 4 on the side surface part 2a of the instrument panel 1.
