The system includes: a connection tube for providing fluid communication between an intake system and a brake booster, a vacuum pressure supply element for supplying a negative pressure to the brake booster through the connection tube, a first valve for interrupting the fluid communication between the intake system and the brake booster, and a control unit for determining a brake fail condition. If the brake fail condition is determined, the control unit controls the first valve to interrupt the fluid communication, and controls the vacuum pressure supply element to supply the negative pressure to the brake booster.
