A muffler having a variable fluid passage is provided to minimize noise propagation by shifting positions of inlet and outlet pipes according to minimum pressure distribution. A muffler having a variable fluid passage comprises a muffler(1). A main pipe(70) having a single fluid passage is connected with an inlet of the muffler. A central pipe(10) has one end connected with the front surface of the inlet of the muffler. An offset pipe(30) is connected with at the front surface of the inlet of the muffler. A flow rate adjustor is installed between the rear end portion of the main pipe and the front end portions of the central pipe and the offset pipe to adjust a fluid passage according to a flow rate of exhaust gas. The flow rate adjustor includes a flow rate adjustment housing having a three-pronged spear shape and a valve member mounted on the inner side of the flow rate adjustment housing.
