An alternator malfunction alarming system and a method thereof are provided to detect quickly an abnormal state of an alternator by measuring the amount of current which the alternator generates in real time. An alternator malfunction alarming system includes an engine(1), an alternator(10), a current meter(20), a comparator(30), and an alarm unit(40). The alternator generates and supplies AC power. The current meter measures the amount of current generated from the alternator while the engine is operated with a constant RPM(Revolution Per Minutes). The comparator stores data about a rated output of the alternator and calculates an output ratio by comparing the stored data with the data measured by the current meter. The alarm unit outputs an alarm signal to a driver depending on a result of the comparator. |
