A reader/writer apparatus, a data access system, a data access control method, and a computer-readable recording medium are provided to reduce overhead occurring in communication between a host apparatus and the reader/writer apparatus when data reading and/or writing on an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag is carried out. A host computer(100) creates a tag search instruction including read/write instructions, and transmits the tag search instruction to a reader/writer apparatus(200). If the reader/writer apparatus receives the tag search command from a host computer, the reader/writer apparatus transmits a tag search command which requires the transmission of a tag ID for identifying an RFID tag(300). And if the reader/writer apparatus receives the tag ID transmitted from the RFID tag as a response about the tag search command, the reader/writer apparatus transmits read/write command of the data on the basis of the read/write instructions included in the tag search instruction, about the RFID tag which is identified by the tag ID.
