TONER HAVING EXCELLENT IMAGE UNIFORMITY

A toner is provided to obtain a narrow distribution of charge and a high charging property, to reduce the contamination of image and to improve stability, transfer efficiency and image uniformity for a long time. A toner comprises a spherical toner particle; and an external additive which is coated on the surface of the toner particle and comprises an organic powder, silica and a spherical titanium dioxide powder having a degree of spherical shape of 0.6 or more obtained by the mathematical formula represented by a degree of spherical shape = the circumference when it is a sphere / the girth of a particle. Preferably the organic powder is selected from polytetrafluoroethylene, polymethyl methacrylate and polyvinylidene fluoride.
