A device for evaluating friction property of a hot press forming material is provided to evaluate more precise friction property of an article manufactured by a hot press forming process. A device for evaluating friction property of a hot press forming material includes a body(1), an upper holder(2), a cylinder(3), and a friction measuring tool(5). A vertical cylinder(6) is fixed to the body. A tool holder(4) is assembled to the upper holder. The cylinder moving a sample holder(8) back and forth to mount a sample(10) on the body is fixed to the body. A load sensor(7) connected to a controller(11) is mounted on the vertical cylinder. The friction measuring tool is assembled to the tool holder.
