A method and a system for mitigating a VSWR(voltage standing wave ratio) are provided to perform output power calibration of a power amplifier by using a resistor modeling an impedance of an antenna coupled externally with the power amplifier while the antenna is not coupled. A mobile terminal(150) comprises an RF receiver(153a), an RF transmitter(153b), a T/R switch(152), a digital base band processor(159), a processor(155), a PMU(Power Management Unit) and a memory(157). An antenna is coupled with the T/R switch. If the T/R switch is set as 'R' or reception, the antenna is able to be connected with the RF receiver. The T/R switch is set as 'T'or transmission, the antenna is able to be connected with the RF transmitter. The RF receiver comprises adaptable logic, a circuit or a code. The digital base band processor processes the signals received from the RF receiver, or the signals to be transmitted to the RF transmitter.
