An image display device for a dome screen and a method therefor are provided to warp a left/right image to be displayed to be suitable for the dome screen and display the left/right image on the dome screen so that polarizing components between the warped left/right images are mutually orthogonal. An image acquiring unit(21) acquires a left image and a right image from an input image to be displayed. An image processing unit(22) warps the left image and the right image by a curvature value of a dome screen. An image display unit(23) displays the left image and the right image on the dome screen so that polarizing components between the left and right images are mutually orthogonal.
