The invention relates to a notebook of sheets 3 and corresponding covering element assembly. The covering element assembly comprises two cover sheets 9, made of a plastics material, of at least the dimensions of the sheets 7 of the notebook. The cover sheets 9 are connected to each other and to the spine of the notebook by at least one common connection element 17 to form an integral notebook and covering element assembly. The connection may be by a plurality of staples 17, by gluing, by stitching threads or by a tube or integral comb binding. A reinforcement strip 19 may be fixed around the central fold line 11 to protect the spine portion 15. The covering sheets may be coloured, rigid and opaque or flexible and translucent. |
