PEER TO PEER PROXY SERVER AND COMMUNICATION METHOD THEREOF

A P2P(Peer to Peer) proxy server and a communication method thereof are provided to include an electronic device incapable of mounting P2P middleware in P2P infra by relaying a message between the electronic device and a P2P proxy client. A proxy data communicator receives a receiving message through P2P infra(400) or transfers the receiving message to the P2P infra. A legacy device state manager(241) generates a message advertising contents stored in a legacy device, and generates the message for sharing the contents if the receiving message requests sharing the contents. A message manager(230) parses/transfers the receiving message obtained to the proxy data communicator, or inversely pareses/generates the message generated from the legacy device state manager and transfers a transmitting message to the proxy data communicator. A legacy device driver(250) performs connection with the legacy device, and supports data communication between the legacy device and the legacy device state manager. A legacy profile manager(243) generates the message advertising the profile of the legacy device, and generates the message for sharing the profile of the legacy device if the receiving message requests sharing a profile of the legacy device.
