RANDOM ACCESS METHOD IN WIRELESS ACCESS NETWORK

A random access method in a wireless access network is provided to perform the optimization of the access throughput of a mobile terminal irrespective of a random access traffic amount. A random access channel slot within a competitive window is selected and a collision experience value is transmitted when performing the random access(S110). The collision rate of a mobile terminal is calculated by the collision experience value. The collision rate of the mobile terminal and the optimum collision rate are compared with each other and the competitive window is controlled according to the comparison result. The size of the controlled competitive window and the random access result of the random access channel slot are transmitted. The size of the controlled competitive window and the random access result are confirmed, so when the random access result succeeds, the data is transmitted and the collision experience value is initialized by 0. When the random access result fails, the collision experience value increases and the random access channel slot is selected and the random access is attempted again.
