A method for managing titles in a DVR is provided to divide, record titles by group, makes the DB of the titles, record the titles in a desired group, move, modify, or delete the titles between groups, thereby managing the titles more effectively. A method for managing titles in a DVR(Digital Video Recorder) comprises the following steps of: setting the group assignment of titles by the command of a user; dividing and recording the titles by group according to the set group assignment information; searching for the recorded title information of a broadcast program through a GUI(Graphic User Interface) provided for the user to select a desired group(S202,S204); displaying the title list of a group selected by the user(S214); setting the group movement of a specific title in the title list(S216); and moving the specific title to the set group to reconfigure the title list of the set group(S220,S222).
