The invention relates to organic chemistry, in particular to producing aromatic acids and can be used in the chemical and food industries. The inventive benzene carbonic acid production method consists in obtaining, in diffusion conditions, dioxide in the form of a mixture of toluene with a solution of alkali salts of benzene carbonic acid by hydrothermally oxidising toluene with air oxygen and permanently agitating it in the presence of the aqueous solution of alkali metal carbonate, in isolating the toluene from oxidate and in returning it to a hydrothermal oxidising stage, in additionally oxidising the solution of alkali salts of benzene carbonic acid, which is separated from unoxidised toluene, with air oxygen, in subsequently removing the water contained in the additionally oxidised solution of alkali salts of benzene carbonic acid in an evaporator and in drying the thus dehydrated solution of alkali salts of benzene carbonic acid by means of gas combustion products in a boiling layer, in loading the dry alkali salts of benzene carbonic acid in the cavity of an auxiliary reactor which is filled with pressurised carbon dioxide, in exposing the dry alkali salts of benzene carbonic acid loaded in the auxiliary reactor cavity to the action of an organic solvent solution in such a way that the benzene carbonic acid is isolated and in packing the precipitated from the organic solvent acid. |
