The arrangement has a cup holder (1) arranged in a region of an air discharge unit (4) of an automobile. The cup holder is movable from a stowing position into a functional position, and is arranged at an interior component by a retaining unit (3). The cup holder surrounds an air discharge opening (7) of the air discharge unit in the stowing position. A contour of the cup holder in the stowing position is adapted to an external geometry of the air discharge opening. The holder has a retaining unit (8) that is directly held at the air discharge unit by the retaining unit (3).
