<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a video recording reservation for proxy by other pieces of equipment on a network reliably even in a situation that video recording cannot be performed by a power failure, a fault or the like in equipment by which video recording is reserved. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of pieces of video recording equipment 10-1 to 10-3 that are connected via a network 12 and have video recording and communication functions are connected to one another. When a video recording reservation processing section 26 performs the video recording reservation to an own video recording function, video recording reservation information is registered in a video recording reservation management table 22-1 at a storage section and the other pieces of equipment 10-2, 10-3 are notified of the video recording reservation registration via the network 12. When the registration notice of the video recording reservation of the other pieces of equipment 10-2, 10-3 is received from the network 12, a proxy video recording reservation processing section 28 acquires the registered video recording reservation information from the other pieces of equipment to register proxy video recording reservation information in a proxy video recording reservation management table 24-1 at the storage section.
