PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system having a plurality of wireless stations, which can execute efficient encryption, e.g., in performing ad-hoc communication. SOLUTION: A signal to be transmitted by each wireless station includes data, information about a data transmission source, information about a data destination, information about a transmission source of the signal and information about a reception destination of the signal. A wireless station as a transmission source wirelessly encrypts the data, information about a transmission source, information about a destination, information about a sender and information about a receiver, and wirelessly transmits the signal. A wireless station as a relay station keeps the data, information about the transmission source and information about the destination included in the wirelessly received signal in the encrypted state as they are, and replaces the information about the sender and information about the receiver with the new information, encrypts them, and then transmits a signal for relaying the received signal.
