<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent surging of an exhaust turbocharger at the time of connection of a lock-up clutch of a fluid transmission device in a vehicle provided with an engine with exhaust turbocharger and the fluid transmission device as a power transmission device. <P>SOLUTION: In the vehicle provided with the engine 1 with exhaust turbocharger and the fluid transmission device including the lock-up clutch 23, when a connecting condition of the lock-up clutch is established, operation for reducing a rotating speed target value of the engine for a fixed time is executed prior to lock-up to avoid surging associated with the drop of engine speed in lock-up. For that purpose, a lock-up clutch control device 50 includes a first timer means 51 for setting the time of executing the reducing operation of engine rotating speed target value, and a second timer means 52 for setting the time of waiting the lock-up start. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
