PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system for a railroad vehicle capable of constructing a network having high redundancy and excellent maintainability, and to provide a railroad vehicle using the transmission system. SOLUTION: In the transmission system for a railroad vehicle transmitting and receiving data using the network in the railroad vehicle, a transmission device 1 has a transmission relay control unit 4 controlling a transmission port, a transmission station 7 for transmitting and receiving the data to and from the transmission port, and a bypass device 11 maintaining a transmission path even if the transmission relay control unit 4 or the transmission port fails. The transmission relay control device 4 of the transmission device 1 sets a transmission station address in the transmission device based on a vehicle number 8 and a coupling command 9 even if the bypass device 11 is operated.
