PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device enabling a user to start the operation for surely opening a sliding screen without impairing its appearance due to protrusion of an operation handle in the direction of width of a vertical frame. SOLUTION: A basic frame 13 of this device is stored in a door end frame 3 of the sliding screen such as a double sliding sash constituted by assembling the sliding screen 2 in a sash frame 1 to move freely. A pressing member 5 having a tip protruding from the door end frame 3 against energizing force of a spring is supported on the basic frame 13 of the device to move horizontally and freely. An arm part piece 11a is protrudedly provided on an operation handle 4 assembled in the door end frame 3 to allow a vertical shaft to turn freely. A driving piece 12 working in the interlocking relationship with the pressing member 5 is vertically provided on the arm part piece 11a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
