PACKAGE FOR STORING LIGHT-EMITTING ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package for storing a light-emitting element capable of positioning a frame body to a wiring board inexpensively and easily when mounting the frame body onto the wiring board.

SOLUTION: The package 1a for storing a light-emitting element has a nearly rectangular flat substrate 2 comprising the laminate of a sintered green sheet made of ceramic, and the ring-shaped frame body 3. There is a recess 7 on a junction surface 2b of the substrate 2 and there is a projection 11 at a position coinciding with the recess 7 on a junction surface 3b of the frame body 3. The frame body 3 is joined onto the junction surface 2b of the substrate 2 while the projection 11 is fitted to the recess 7.
