The present invention relates to a spatula, especially for culinary use. The spatula (1) has a flat shape between two main faces (11, 12) connected together especially by lateral edges (13), along each of which one (11) of these main faces has a channel (20); by grasping the spatula (1) by its handle (3) and moving it through a liquid or a paste, it is possible, if this main face (11) is turned forwards, to produce considerable turbulence in the liquid or paste, whereas if the other main face (12) is turned forwards, less turbulence is produced or else the resistance of the liquid or paste to the movement of the spatula (1) is reduced. <IMAGE>
