PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device which is capable of preventing the solidification of toner by stirring the toner, without requiring an exclusive drive mechanism and with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In the cleaning device 6a configured in such a manner that a rubbing roller 20 which comes into contact with a photoreceptor drum (image carrier) 2a and is rotated with a difference in linear velocity with respect to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2a is rotatably housed in a housing 21, a cylindrical spring-like member (rotating body) 26 which comes into contact with the rubbing roller 20, to be driven rotated is arranged between the inwall of the housing 21 and the rubbing roller 20.
