PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device improved in controllability by reducing pressure fluctuation on a pump discharge side. SOLUTION: This brake control device is provided with a master cylinder, each one of a plurality of wheel cylinders provided in each of a plurality of wheels, a hydraulic actuator provided separately from the master cylinder to control hydraulic pressure of the wheel cylinders, a hydraulic pressure source provided in the hydraulic actuator, and a control means for calculating target hydraulic pressure of the wheel cylinders based on brake operation amount of a driver to control the hydraulic actuator based on the target hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic actuator is provided with a flow passage area variable means to vary area of an oil passage connected to the plurality of wheel cylinders. The control means maximizes the flow passage area of the flow passage area variable means connected to the wheel having the highest target hydraulic pressure of the plurality of wheels.
