<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent fixing performance by stabilizing the temperature of a heat generating member, regardless of the size of the heat capacity of the heat generating member, in an induction heating fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: A heat roller 20 is heated by an induction heating coil 50 also when the heat roller 20 is reversely rotated by a fixing motor 36 capable of forwardly and reversely rotating. Further, the roller control temperature of the heat roller 20 by a control system 70 is adjusted according to a time of forward rotation of the heat roller 20 and a time of reverse rotation, or a time when the heat roller 20 and a press roller 30 are separated from each other and a time when they are in contact with each other. Besides, after the fixing motor 36 is actually rotated after an instruction for starting rotation by a fixing apparatus motor signal, output of the induction heating coil 50 is turned on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
