The invention relates to a screwless, two-way binding post terminal. The inventive terminal comprises two parts, namely a retaining part (1) and an elastic part (2), in order to enable cables (8 and 8') to be connected in different directions, said cables being retained in the position in which they are mounted by the elastic part (2) which acts against elements provided for said purpose on the retaining part (1). The upper part of the retaining part is provided with inwardly-concave forms (3) in which the free edges of the end planes (25) of the elastic part (2) are positioned, in order to retain a cable (8) which is disposed on one of said concave forms (3). The retaining part (1) is also equipped with pins (11) which are housed in openings (22) in the elastic part (2) and which are used to secure a conducting cable (8') in a different direction from that of the aforementioned cable (8) when both parts (1 and 2) are interconnected and retained in place by pawls (13) which belong to the retaining part (1) and which are locked in an opening (16) in the elastic part (2). |
