The double tappet (1) has a cylindrical housing (2) disposed at an internal-combustion engine side guide (4) in an oscillating manner and comprising cam shaft side hole (5) into which an inner unit (6) is axially moved. A coupling slide (11) is moved into or under a driving area (12) of the housing. A lost motion spring (16) is fixed between a lower head (9) of the inner unit facing an upper head (13) and a lower side (14) of a cross web (15) of the housing. Two supports (18) lying adjacent to each other are arranged into the hole, where each end of a push rod is mounted on the supports.
