The vacuum drainage device has an electrically driven air seal that has, on the suction side, a closeable drainage channel as well as a water depositer that periodically empties the water collector container (4) that has at least one sealed mollifying chamber for the collected water. The air seal and the water collector container may be arranged in a common housing. The water collector container may partly surround the motor (3) of the air seal whilst the mollifying chamber may have an entry flow opening (10) and an exit flow opening for air (11).
