Camera (30) is detachably fitted to telescope (10) with objective lens (11) by means of attachment (20). The attachment (20) in its interior is provided with a relay lens system composed of second lens group (22) and first lens group (21) for forming image (14) of subject by the objective lens on image pickup element (31) of the camera. The first lens group (21) is fixed and the second lens group (22) is moved in the direction of optical axis so that the subject is re-imaged on the image pickup element (31) of the fitted camera at different magnifications. In this construction, without replacing of the attachment for fitting the telescope to the camera, the magnification of the image of the subject can be changed, and even when the magnification is changed, pint re-adjustment is not required so that the subject can be clearly photographed at different magnifications.
